Hi! I am creating a website and IOS app called "Students Who Code". Students Who Code will allow new coders access to free and easy courses(for students who don't want to pay or don't have access to CS education). And a page/feature called "Coding Connected" which will allow the users to chat with, Code Masters (high school coders) to get help and feedback and to submit projects. The website is almost done and will be launched soon! The IOS app is what I plan to work on during Summer of Making! It will include a place to track your projects, create to do lists for coding, and get access to our Coding Connected features! This will be my first time building a Swift app! This is a rough concept of the home page for the app

I made my own checkmark toggle style in SwiftUI because apple couldn't be bothered to make one.

Learned a bit more about the updates in SwiftUI this year. This one is cool: keyboard avoidence, so when the keyboard comes up, users can still see the content.

Trying out Flutter

Hello everyone!! I have spent this summer so far learning. I’ve played around with more advanced web dev concepts, tried my hand at python, but today I’m super excited to start my new journey - learning Swift w/ xcode. This summer, I want to build an app, and I’m going to use scrapbook to follow my app dev/learning journey. Today, I set up my dev environment and played around with the storyboard and View Controller.

I had some fun today with getting my scrappy SwiftUI app to get the slack oauth token to be able to post scrappy updates! It was involved with a lot of moving parts - I had open the default browser, get the auth code back from slack using deep links and had to exchange that for an oauth token, without exposing my client secret (so I couldn't put the secret in the app), then finally putting it in the user's macOS keychain for safe keeping!

More progress on the hackagotchi iOS app! Now the hexagons can move into different formations! Now there's 2 pressing questions we need to ask @ced : api ready when? and standalone client when?

Today I added in Deep Linking into my Notes App. It was surprisingly easy to do. Now you are able to click a link, and the app will open to that specified note!

Working on CloudKit for my Notes App.

I made a custom progress bar in pure SwiftUI! I maybe added too many effects? maybe?

Again watching WWDC talks. Just learned about logging in Swift

made a super basic ios app to learn Swift/XCode! then got lilly pollen all over my hands and scrub scrub scrubbed to try to wash it off but some of it is still there 🙃 I didn't really have a pollen allergy before but now my nose/sinuses are starting to act up 🙃 🙃 🙃 i feel like lady macbeth, scrubbing at the SPOTS

Debugging some SwiftUI views. Debugging is espcially fun when the compiler can't tell you what's wrong!
