The past 3 days, Iβve been in New Haven, CT to move out of New Haven HQ & move @matthew & somewhat @msw out of their apartment. I am the most exhausted Iβve been at least all of 2020 after moving, packing, cleaning, transporting, loading etc thousands of pounds of stuff. We shipped maybe 25 boxes all 25-60 pounds at FedEx ($1220) & spectacularly loaded Matthewβs car. Massive shoutout to Matthew & Max for all pouring it on, we are all sweaty & exhausted but now driving to my house. (& donβt worry, Matthew was wearing a mask all the time except when I took a picture)
Today I went driving with my driver's ed instructor for the first time! π
Suffice to say I did not make headlines. π
That isn't actually the car I drove, by the way β¬οΈ
i had my first drive today and i went on like an actual road which was kinda intense lol but i learned i drive rlly slow so ppl got a bit mad lol oopsie
3D Printer Build Update: Everything works. It homes and centers properly. Bed and nozzle heats up. But it's missing just one part required to print, the filament drive gear.
I'll probably have to wait around a week for it to arrive from China and I can already tell, it's gonna be the one of the longest wait of my life.
This is my test of a pi zero client for my project, it can be powered off a cigarette lighter/ outlet and a USB port. In the picture is, a pi zero w that is connected via rca to an old 7 inch car monitor which is controlled by an Apple media remote and a FLiRC adapter. It works surprisingly well.
I have my first driving lesson today! Not too sure what image to post with this and I probably won't have time to do a lot of coding today so here's my sticker and cool stuff collection :)
I've built the car and successfully controlled the motors remotely using my raspberry pi. Next steps are to incorporate the obstacle detection using a distance sensor and the actual line following functionality using the camera.
I've failed again ;( . Yesterday I ran 8.8 miles at Cross Country, helped out for 2 hours at the food drive, went to my nana's birthday party, something else when I got home idk, and burned in the sun ;(
Long day of driving and moving people around at HQ today. Spent all morning packing. Everyone left Vermont and will be back on July 5th. Christina, Max, and I drove 5 hours to a place weβre staying at until Sunday (and we visited a potential place for everyone to stay over the summer). Had some great conversations with everyone on the drive.
